”Stayed in two different rooms as I had to unexpectedly extend my stay. The staff are absolutely lovely, and very helpful, room service and restaurant are both excellent. I would recommend opting for one of the “deluxe” options, as there is a significant difference in room quality compared to the standard room. ”

On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and answered our questions. The room was good and I was even surprised to see trouser pressers in the room. Something I have not seen in many of years which and made me smile and have a good childhood memory of my late parents.

”We stayed at The Ship for a special wedding anniversary. It’s an exceptional hotel in a wonderful area which has a unique atmosphere. The hotel food is good with a menu that changes over the seasons. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice from pastries and cereals to full English. The rooms are well furnished and comfy and the tea, coffee and biscuits topped up daily.
For bird watchers the estuary is worth a visit and in the room we chose the hotel thoughtfully provided...
”We love staying here and use it when we are visiting our daughter at Uni. It's an ideal location and we are only a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants for the evening . It's also super close to the racecourse if people are visiting for that. The rooms are finished to a high standard and offer a comfy relaxed stay. ”
”We had a lovely short stay at The Feathers. The room was lovely, with an amazing bathtub and, best of all, AIR CONDITIONING, which we really appreciated as it was unusually hot during our visit.
The room was also very quiet at night - we heard hardly anything from the pub. I recommend the pub itself too, lovely decor and very friendly staff.
We would definitely stay there again, and absolutely recommend it to other travellers.
