”The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces...

”I travelled to Homfirth with my friend as we were attending a gig at the Picturedome which is next door to the Inn. The Inn has recently been renovated to a high standard. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The inn is a beautiful place and the decor is beautiful. We had breakfast, full english which was very good. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff went the extra mile for us. ”

”I found some nail clippings on the carpet at the side of the bed. Wall was stained with a large coffee splash. Very poor soundproofing between rooms. Rooms and bed quite small, heating didn't work so room was cold. No fridge. Breakfast was particularly poor. Watery, tasteless orange juice. Bacon tasted only of salt, sausages cheap and tasteless, stale loaf left out from one day to the next.”

”The room was not clean enough, Trash under the bed and hairs on the pillow. Breakfast poor, the first day very limited amount of products and day by day they added something more. ”

”Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff. Allowed us to check in early which was an added bonus. Nice clean room with every thing you need for a comfy, stress free stay. Will defo stay here again if ever visiting Leeds. ”

”The room was nice, a couple of biscuits with the tea and coffee would have been good. Also, more milk! Most staff were friendly and helpful. However, in the morning I wanted to buy a cup of coffee - not breakfast. And this seemed to present an enormous challenge! Reception staff said to just go through to the dining area but the first member of staff was flummoxed. Then the second member of staff wondered whether the coffee machine was on (!) A third member of staff took me over to the bar area...

”I got a room that is suitable for disabled people. Bathroom wasn't really nice. Room was also one of those rooms that could be connected to the other room. Too bad that it also meant that I could hear everything that was happening in the room next to mine. Not nice to hear loud voices in the middle of the night. When I mentioned that while checking out, the lady in the reception said that because I booked through hotels.com I didn't get that good room. Should book directly from the hotel, she...

”I stay here often, I like the hotel, it is convenient for business meetings etc. I don’t like the holding deposit. I don’t want to buy anything on credit and the deposit takes too long to clear! ”
