”The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

”This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. ”An excellent discovery of the Melfort Village. Our cottage was perfect in every way. Clean and very cosy with all the essentials. The location is really good as if is slightly raised over the village and the view from the main area and master bedroom is stunning. You can see over the villages and through the lake. "The hotel review rating is overrated in my opinion. The hallway to our room smelled aweful. The carpet in the room was stained a lot and seemed not been vacuumed. There were dark hair on the bedding and pillow. The restroom had many dark spots between the tiles especially at the shower. Everything seemed outdated. The parking infront of the entrance was good though. The breakfast was not good at all either. Food tasted bland and bacon was cold. Nothing fresh of vegetables or fruits. "
