I booked three rooms for four nights. Two rooms had no hot water, and the hotel twice claimed the issue was fixed when it was not.
What made this unacceptable was the hotel repeatedly claiming the issue was fixed when it clearly was not. I trusted the staff twice and was misled twice, including discovering there was still no hot water after I had already undressed to shower, in winter temperatures.
This was not just a technical failure, but a complete lack of care and responsibility from the staff. There was no genuine concern, no urgency, and no meaningful compensation.
The most disappointing part was the reception staff. Their attitude was dismissive and inflexible, showing no concern for guest comfort. I requested just a one-hour late checkout for one room and was bluntly refused, without explanation or courtesy, despite the ongoing issues caused by the hotel.
In contrast, housekeeping staff were noticeably more polite and helpful, which only highlighted how poor the reception service was.
Breakfast service was equally poorly managed. We queued for over 30 minutes at the top floor, only to be told to eat quickly as they were preparing for lunch. I have never experienced such a lack of organisation and consideration at a hotel charging luxury prices.
Luxury pricing means nothing without basic service management.
