We’ve traveled the entire country and seen the most amazing places but the Ambelona Retreat is in its a class of its own. ”Quiet and secluded. The view of the mountains reminded me of the Smokey Mountains. All the rooms are facing the mountains and either have a patio or deck with a small table and chairs. This family run business was very friendly and helpful. The property was a bit hard to find in the village but once located we were able to find it again and again very easily. ”Great place with amazing views! Elena, the owner, was lovely but doesn't speak English. We managed with a few words each, a bit of sign language and a lot of Google translate. Rooms are perhaps unusual in decor but very comfortable and lots of choice for breakfast - particularly good omelette cooked freshly by Elena. Good tavernas within walking distance. Fabulous walking with the menalon trail. Very quiet and peaceful. And did I mention the views!”
