”We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. We loved the suite with its living area and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts could not have done more. So friendly and helpful. They also had lots of games and toys and a garden which were great for the kids. ”

”What a beautiful property so perfect in every aspect, breakfast at the Eskimo Arms Inn across the street was great. Location was amazing just park the car and everything including the castle is at your door step. Our only mistake was only booking one night!”

”If you want to keep an eye on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or be close to the beginning of the Llanberis path up Mt. Snowdon, this is the place to be. And, if its raining and cold, you'll be content to eat at the Hotel's pub. There's a short walk through the woods to Dolbadarn Castle which is, yes, a castle in Wales, and very picturesque. Breakfast is adequate- an arrival of multiple coaches may have you relocated to a smaller dining room which happened to us, but then we were not on anyone...

”Stayed here for a couple of nights in April 2026. Lovely large room in the Tower! Had both breakfast and dinner here each day. Food was excellent. Service slow the first evening fo dinner but fine the second evening. Historic hotel with amazing wood carvings. ”

”We love Herons Retreat, we have been many, many times! Well over 15 times, so that shows how much we love it.”

”This B&B is a lovely place to stay, nice and close to the local walks and wildlife and not too far from the nearest town. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to bring in takeaways for tea and eating them in the dining room. On my last day I was leaving early so I let her know and she very kindly got up early and cooked me breakfast which was very nice and unexpected. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.”
