”What we thought was a room upgrade (corner room with spectacular beach views) during daylight hours turned into a nightmare for sleeping as the constant noise from the partiers and motorcycles/low riders late into the night - even on a Wednesday- made for one of the worst night’s sleep ever. Not sure why they didn’t give us the room we reserved since each one is different and we got a double instead of a king”

”There were several restaurants, a wonderful grocery store, and of course the beach were all within walking distance. The staff were extraordinarily attentive. The muffins for breakfast were dry on one day and amazing on the next. The room didn't have any hand or body lotion like I'm used to seeing in most hotels, but the proximity to the ocean made it less of a necessity. ”

”We were warmly welcomed by a host. Beds were comfy and breakfast served on a table behind the door was convenient. Location was great, quiet neighborhood and close to the park. Would be nice to have a toaster in room for breakfast bagels.”

”The breakfast came in a cute cooler basket. Every breakfast was delicious and varied. They responded quickly to special requests. The room was beautiful with a large soaking bathtub. I didn’t use it as much as I would have in a place that had water abundance, but that was my choice. The location was ideal and I can’t recommend Mendocino enough. So beautiful!”

”This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...
