”Quite an excellent resort near the national park. This is probably one on the best choises. Maybe a bit too polite staff as a normal Finnish person feels quite awkward when taken care of too much. We had the dinner buffet included and it was very good. So was the breakfast. The only huge minus comes from Wi-Fi that did not work in the room at all. Maybe it was only temporarily down.”

”Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee. Be sure to try the special Cinnamon Infused Ice Tea – it’s also lovely with some lemon gin in the evening! The scenery is amazing, and the waterfall...

”We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. The food is excellent and plentiful. Arun was delightful...

Der findes wanna-be 5-stjernede, og så er der steder som Thotalagala, hvor 5 stjerner ikke rækker, fordi det at give gæsterne den bedste oplevelse (altid), er inkorporeret i dna’et hos medarbejdere, i ledelsen og i ydelserne der tilbydes. Det er de mange små ting som varmedunk i sengen, aften-te på værelset, vedligeholdelsesstanden overalt samt at alt kan lade sig gøre, der viser, at dette er et ægte luksus-hotel.”

”Golf course it’s amazing but that’s it. I can’t recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to do something else than only play golf. It’s very basic resort hotel without any luxury. All the prices were 50% more than in Marriott Weligama. We couldn’t get any spa times to booked, there’s absolutely nothing around the hotel, beach is not for swimming and there’s no restaurants or even sun beds at beach. Half of the hotel facilities were closed and hotel would need some renowation. You can’t call...
