”Airidh an Dhobrain is immaculately presented and has everything required in a holiday cottage. It is in a quiet location but with easy access to the rest of the islands. Monica, who manages the property on behalf of the owners, was extremely helpful and our stay was all-too short.”

”This is a nice cottage that is located on the northern, western aspect of the island. The cottage was clean and larger than we needed. If you are looking for remote and quiet than this is the place for you.”

”After following Lorraine’s wonderful directions we made our way to Willie McLeod’s Croft. Everything anyone could need has been thought of. We stopped at the coop on our way so we were able to make meals after exploring Skye. We met Alan who graciously told us about his dogs and sheep :-). We needed some time away from noise and found it. Lorraine and family have done fabulous and loving work to keep the feel of the Croft while renovating it. We had a great getaway. ”

”Apart from the potholes getting to the cottage it was great. We could see the Milky Way when the sky was clear! Would love to stay for an extended period of time if we manage to come again in the future.”

”The property is spacious, clean and warm. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and easy to use with plenty of hot water. The open plan kitchen and dining room are well equipped and an excellent meeting hub. Located near the ferry, fuel and shop this is well located for a North Uist holiday. ”

”We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. If you like beach walking (cant describe how beautiful they are) and wild life (otters, deer, seals etc) then this is an excellent choice, we...

Everything I needed in a place to stay. Not too far from Castlebay so easy to get food and fuel. Will definitely stay there again if available next time I am on Barra. Barra itself was fantastic and a very friendly place, with some stunning coastline to explore from the sea when the weather allowed!”
