”Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜”

The location is convenient for the town centre, with on street parking outside (free after 4pm). We enjoyed our overnight stay at Amonite Lodge.”

”An elegantly appointed fairly formal country house in a beautiful rural setting, not far from a tiny small village. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts provide a great breakfast. Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!”

”No air con in the hotel rooms so a little uncomfortable if hot day. However everything else was superb! Breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t do anymore for you.”

”Had one evening meal. The food quality was good, no complaints with that. Only had continental breakfast, usual toast, cereal, fruit juice, Croissants, etc That was all fine. Cooked breakfast options were available for extra charge. Bedrooms and showers need some attention. Small issues. Moved rooms after first nights sleep as mattress was very poor.
