”The surrounding area looks economically depressed and we had some initial concerns about safety. Check in was easy. We were provided with two keys for the front door and room door. The house is well maintained and in keeping with original design. We stayed in the wine and roses room which is next door to the kitchen. If you like to sleep in, this is not the room for you due to breakfast noise. The breakfast was good and timely. There was a hot option (bread pudding and chicken and herb sausage)...

”We would definitely stay there again, if or when we return. The hotel was very nice. The river view was wonderful. The complimentary continental breakfast was very good!
Having a pizza shop & beer downstairs was nice and convenient! Love the outside patio too!!”

”Paul and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Lovely old stately home converted to BnB, with delightful breakfast next day. The suites are large and very comfortable and just dripping with classic furnishings appropriate to a late 19th century stately home.”

”We loved staying in this big old mansion and appreciating how they built them in the old days. Jim and Susie are warm, friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast each morning was tasty and delicious. We got to really appreciate how nice Cherry Valley was when we went downtown to Cooperstown one night. What a horrible tourist town. It was nice to get back to Cherry Valley. We were there for the Glimmerglass festival which is very close and only a few minutes away.”
