”Right after arriving and unpacking, I went for a walk around the area. After a minute, a very polite yellow lab trotted up to my side and gave me a nice tour in exchange for several scritches and pats. 10/10 employee(s). As for the accommodations, it was very comfortable and relaxing without feeling like too much "resort". Will be back!”

”An older hotel but clean, quiet, comfortable beds. The bathroom is very small but everything worked. Breakfast was good.”

”If good hygiene, self-respect, and money are things lacking in your life, than boy oh boy is this the place for you, I only stayed here as I was in transit and there was nothing else, Generally, I prefer it when my bowel movements end up down the drain and not overflowing onto the floor. Maybe I’m just a princess. Staff were cool. They did their best,”

”Stay away from this motel! My wife refused to stay there, stained bed sheets, dirty tub/shower, ceiling under renovation. Motel management refused to issue a refund.”

”I have been around the Lake Wally/Hawley + area for 40yrs (first owning a small summer place on the lake & as a local camp nurse for 20yrs), I always wanted to stay at Settlers--dined there many times--visited the gift shop, even looked into the rooms--finally got the chance--Wonder/Beautiful/Tranquil/Unique!!!”

”The hotel has not been updated, and it would’ve been fine, if it was clean, but it wasn’t. There are stains on the carpet, we found someone else’s sock under the bed, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were broken and stained, the tub was lined with mold, and the sink looked like it was falling off the wall. As we were checking in, another guest was complaining about it raining in her room (it was raining outside). You also cannot flush the toilet before showering. I will never stay here again.”

”We enjoyed our stay at this Victorian B&B. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and cozy and we had a delicious breakfast. It is located on a main road and is easy to find. The inn is nicely appointed. We do enjoy the charm of an old historic dwelling and the antique furnishings. Adrienne is friendly and hospitable.”

”Plenty of parking. Seems as though they are updating the rooms. The staff is professional, though not outgoing and friendly. Most frustrating is the fact that there are no towel hangers or plugs in the bathroom area. Also, the HVAC is either "Cool" or "Heat". Due to the dated HVAC, you are unable to set a temperature for the room. ”
