The Oregon Country Fair, an outgrowth of the counter-culture movement, has been going strong for over 40 years. This non-profit, 3 day, festival features hundreds of entertainers and performers, artisans and gourmet food vendors. There are magical surprises at every corner, a lively parade that roams around the grounds several times a day, and plenty of shade and secret coves to take a nice respite from the ongoing festivities. Event goers are encouraged to come in costume, but both costumes and face/body paint are available by vendors inside the Fair. Really you are encouraged to come as you are or whoever you wish to be. Toplessness is allowed and various forms of nudity are often witnessed. I've partook in some fantastic festivals all over the world, but it's true what they say, there's no place like home...The Oregon Country Fair, or simply "Fair," is truly world class. What a beautiful, wild, and fun weekend with the kindest, most loving weirdos you'll ever meet! "The Oregon Country Fair creates events and experiences that nourish the spirit, explore living artfully and authentically on Earth, and transform culture in magical, joyous and healthy ways." Honestly, the house was great and location was good. However, we had people in front on side walks and going down the alley at all hours of day and night. You would hear voices at 3 in the morning and sounded like they were in back yard but was the alley.
