Hyvä hotelli viikon lomaan yksin matkaajalle
Olin viikon hotellissa. Palvelu oli todella ystävällistä ja huone siivottiin joka päivä kunnolla. Otin yöpymisten lisäksi aamiaisen joka aamu hotellissa, se oli tyypillinen eurooppalainen aamupala. Hotellilta oli lyhyt matka niin piazzalle San marcolle, kuin rialton sillallekin. Sijainti oli tosi hyvä.

When arriving in Venice and depending how far you are from the hotel you would definitely benefit from the assistance of porters. On arrival, the biggest disappointment was the room they first gave us. We had reservations for a superior suite and the room may have been 8’ X 8’ at most. Returned to the lobby and asked for another room which was much better. At least we could walk around the bed without having to squeeze sideways against the walls. The remainder of the hotel was perfect. Location was amazing, staff were outstanding and super accommodating. Definitely recommend it but do make sure you confirm a decent size room which in Italy is considered 20m sq. You should also know that San Marco is below sea level. At high tides it floods. Rain added to the excitement and we were walking in approx. 12cm of water. We happened to be in a restaurant at the time and everything continued as nothing was happening. The next morning, was like nothing had happened. It is certainly an experience we won’t soon forget.

Centraal gelegen vlakbij San Marco plein en ferry. Kruip door, sluip door hotel. We kregen een upgrade van superior kamer naar een soort van appartement met aparte slaapkamer en keuken (kamer 121) Leuk! Hotel is wat oubollig maar dat hoort wel in het centrum van Venetië. Ontbijt prima met yoghurt, cereals, fruit, brood, eieren. Aardig personeel.

Excellent location steps to St Marks Square and short distance to Rialto Bridge. Quaint historic hotel with great breakfast and helpful staff. We would return to this location.

Man muss einfach wissen, dass dieses Hotel keine Heizung hat. Nur Klima für den Sommer, aber ohne Heizmöglichkeit. Deshalb war es in der letzten kalten Aprilwoche auch etwas kalt im Zimmer .

For those staying here, please take note of some things. One, you will need to pay in advance regardless of what Expedia says (including a city tax that we did not know about until we checked in). The hotel will reach out for payment multiple times beforehand regardless if you booked to pay at check in so don’t take expedias word for it. Two, the photos were not an accurate representation of the room we got. It was much smaller, and the second ‘bed’ was just a glorified cot. Our shower drain backed up and we were basically wading in water every time we showered. Three, there are ants and mosquitoes so plan accordingly. Four, I’m pretty sure that our room had bed bugs. We had bites on us that I thought were mosquitoes but they don’t look or feel like them and I had to check online. The staff was nice, and the location is convenient. But please, do know what you’re getting into and DO YOUR RESEARCH. To the hotel itself, I am extremely disappointed considering the money we spent. Please do better for your guests going forward. 4 star experience this was NOT.

The location of the hotel is outstanding! The staff was very nice and helpful. We did complain about VERY hard pillows in both our rooms and we got new ones after two days (stayed 4 nights) Except from that it was a good hotel although it was not updated and modern but it had all we needed and the breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast.

While the furniture and rooms are a bit old, that adds to the overall charm of this place. The facilities are well maintained and stately, like all of Venice. The front desk staff is impressively professional, flexible and friendly. The value for the service and location was noteworthy. A welcome bonus when I arrived was that breakfast was included, although I thought I read on the Expedia site that it was an extra charge. The breakfast was huge and delicious, also with friendly staff and prompt service. I will return to this hotel for sure. I was traveling with my teenager, and we were both welcome and comfortable. I saw a lot of other families, including small children, in the hotel as well, but it was very quiet!

Topp beliggenhet - men slitent rom.
Rommet var veldig trangt i 6.etg, hvor de to siste etasjene kun var tilgjengelig med trapp. Den ene lampetten holdt på å falle ned fra veggen og kjøleskapet var plasser inni i skapet slik at det ikke var plass til lange kåper/frakker. Støpselene var rart plassert og sengen blokkerte deler av døren til badet. Ikke noe hodegjerde på sengene så slitsomt å sitte i sengen over tid (og ikke noe annet sted å sitte. Badet var svært romslig men veldig kaldt. Tok lang tid å få varmt vann og temperaturen i dusjen var svært ustabil. Mye bråk i rørene. Pluss for store myke håndkler og bra renhold hver dag. God frokost i hyggelig frokostsal. Flott beliggenhet 1 min fra Marcusplassen

Hotel muy bien ubicado, cerca del embarcadero y plaza san marcos, aun que muy pequeñas las habitaciones y mas la regadera, el desayuno básico pero bueno bufet de jugos, huevo, fruta, pan y café. El restaurante de al lado estaba muy bueno y surtido.

They desperately need new mattresses
This is a budget hotel. Nothing Royal about it. The bed was not like anything I’ve ever seen. It was a spring mattress that curved up towards the bottom. It was literally the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on in my life. There will be springs in your back. The shower is a curtain that surrounds you and will try to stick to you while you are showering. The water just drains in the middle of the bathroom like a tiny lake. I will say it is a great location. If you decide to stay here anyway you simply get off on of the water bus on Marco Vallaresso Walk though the middle San Marcos square and directly in the middle of the square to your left there is a street and it is halfway down that street. If this is your first time in Venice you will get lost so grab a real Venice map for $3 (not the one they give you at the hotel. I think at the water bus stations they sell them). Oh and don’t upgrade for the breakfast. I would have preferred to just grab a coffee from somewhere and be on my way but if you are a breakfast person you can find something you may enjoy.

Très bien situé dans une petite rue à 2 pas de la place St Marc. Assez calme. Personnel sympathique et disponible. La chambre étant bruyante (bruit de moteur régulier), ils n'ont pas hésiter à nous en proposer 2 autres selon notre choix.
