Nice, neat, compact room. Very clean. The pool and jacuzzi are much nicer than you’d expect for this type of hotel / motel. Two restaurants nearby.

Mike is an exceptional host — very responsive and accommodating. He even helped us when our van got stuck in the snow, which we truly appreciated. This was our third stay here! It's always clean and well taken care of when we arrive. Well stocked as well with towels, bedding, paper products, and everything you need in the kitchen but the food. Plenty of games for rainy days and kayaks for the lake.

The River Retreat was an excellent venue for our stay, the host was fantastic and responded quickly. Would definitely recommend if you are considering staying in the area.
