On the way back down after we had climbed Scafell Pike we took this beautiful route to Wasdale Head and Wastwater. Nothing makes you feel quite so insignificant as being in this vast landscape. Can't emphasise enough, even though pathways are well marked please don't forget that it's still climbing a mountain! Go prepared with plenty of layers and the right kit, and don't be the reason that mountain rescue have to risk their own lives to save yours. #LakeDistrict #England #TakeAHike #NationalPark #Outdoors

We stayed for New Year’s Eve and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and attentive! The hotel is gorgeous and the views of the lake are lovely. It’s a little bit out of the way but it’s worth it for a lovely stay. The breakfast was also really good!
