”A clean basic overnight stay. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant attached was excellent . Fantastic burgers and a great breakfast. We would stay again.”

”Great hotel, beautiful building. Appreciating the hotel is family owned, it could do with a little modern tlc TV didn’t work in the bedroom for channels 1-4. Extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, towels are quite old, Check your dinner bill, we had 3 bottles of wine added to the bill but we’d only had 1 £25 bottle. We were being charged for 2 x £45 bottles we’d not had. When we called to get the tv satellite sorted in our bedroom it was the waiter and head waiter who attended our...

”In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though.”

”We loved the old country pub and hospitality. After a quick walk around the village we settled in for a few ales a fantastic dinner ad a good night sleep. Our breakfast was included which was fantastic as it was a full English breakfast cooked to perfection. Loved our time there and would highly recommend for anyone”

”I had room 305 lovely and cool and quiet for this heatwave of a weekend. All staff so very helpful.will definitely be back , love the gardens and terrace. Could always find a quiet corner to sit and relax anytime of day.”
