”Travelled by train so very convenient being a few feet from the railway station. With friends so asked for a room near by receptionist a bit off with we're busy and full no apologies. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast nice with good variety. Would stay again in the future.”

”Gorgeous room and premises ... immaculately clean... hosts were just lovely... would highly recommend... all little things thought of and my dairy alkergy accommodated even had a small flask of oat milk for the room ... amazing breakfast not just taste but presentation also... it would be hard to beat... Fab location in proximity to the Shopping outley which us walkable and also The Blacksmiths at Gretna Green for weddings ... Thanks for a great stay xx”

”The rooms are clean the staff are excellent”

”Room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The creaky floorboards were a bit of an issue, very loud in both the room we stayed in and the one directly above us! It is however a very old building so that is to be expected. The lift wasn’t working but wasn’t an issue as we were on the second floor. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but the location was ideal”

”The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

”Room was clean and had everything required and plenty of room for our dog .We had breakfast at a ajoining cafe of which we were allowed to take our dog in with as which was good as we dont like our dog to be left on his own.The staff were very helpful”
