”A lovely hotel with wonderful staff.”

”Very nice hotel staff always courteous and polite nice clean comfortable room”

”Ei saatu huonetta, vaikka oltiin tehty varaus hotels.comin kautta”

”Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

”My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age.”

”Great breakfast, rooms comfortable and staff excellent”

”We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again”

”Beautiful gardens very dog friendly..room was spacious staff were excellent thank you hannnah and Joe...breakfast was lovely as were the evening, meals we had ...had a lovely swim in the spa pool ...all round excellent this is our second visit”

”Charming hotel with very accommodating staff. We were able to check in early. Thank you. Our room in the older section of the hotel needed some TLC - vinyl floor in the bathroom in particular. Nice, full breakfast”

”Lovely spacious place, very clean, nice staff, well priced, lovely room. My only gripe would be no curtain in the bathroom window, which looks into houses, but overall we liked it.”

”Fitted the bill.”

”Rooms are separate from the main building and so are quiet and private. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was very large. The staff are the owners and were very friendly and helpful. We had booked dinner and it was amazing although there is no choice of menu. There was a choice for breakfast which was freshly prepared and excellent. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.”

”The Station Hotel is reliable, and I always stay here when passing through Carlisle. The prices are highly competitive, the rooms are large, and the staff are friendly. A couple of minor niggles is the lack of catering in the evening (they do breakfast, but no evening meals or bar meals) and the wifi is not particularly fast. Other than that, I always enjoy my stay here.”
