”Our room was excellent very quiet with lovely comfortable bed, nice bed linen, towels and plenty of tea&coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. ”Lovely place with good facilities, older property so our room was spacious, bed comfortable and good bathroom. A little noisy for the dog as we were on the ground floor next to reception. Limited parking outside the property but able to park across the road overnight until 10:00 am. Overall lovely stay.”

”Spent one night in the hotel. The hotel is situated by a lake and the surroundings are pretty. We were pleasantly surprised when we got upgrated for a better room. The room was AMAZING: big, clean, had a luxury feel to it and lovely view to the lake. The cooked breakfast was tasty and staff friendly. Only downside was that there was no dinner served. Would love to stay in this hotel again :)”

”The room was clean and large. There was an odd smell that bothered us, likely new paint or carpeting that had not been sufficiently aired out. There was no offer of assistance to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs. We were not the only guest to struggle with this. Breakfast was good and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Location was excellent for getting into the main part of town. Parking was not ideal - in a nearby lot. It would be nice if the hotel arranged specific parking...

”Excellent place. We stayed in room 40 in the annexe for families. It has a big and comfortable main bed and bunk beds for kids. Clean and airy, very large room for family with great size bathroom. Pub food was excellent we had the chicken for dinner with wine all good, and sticky toffee pudding was generous size two could share. Overall a great place and convenient close to grasmere, Ambleside and the zip World. Great stay very pleased.”
