There were a few cobwebs in our room and I don’t think that is acceptable, especially in a family room or any other tbh. However, the thing that irked me the most was that when we arrived at the hotel we were advised that we could only go for dinner at 8pm as 7 and 7.30 were full. The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. ”Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! ”
