”Had a quick overnight stay on a tour of Yorkshire with partner and four-year-old. The family room was very clean and comfortable with a solid bunk bed for the kid and huge comfy bed for us. It's right on the main square in the village so very nice for walking around. All the parking spots were taken when we were there (there was a local farm show on that day so not terribly surprising), but parking overnight in the square was just fine. Breakfast was really tasty; fresh ingredients beautifully...

”We had a one night stop here in October. The room had been redecorated reasonably recently, the bathroom also looked very modern, all very clean. A new mattress wouldn't go amiss though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, for our evening meal we had a pizza, which was ok, it was tasty and very filling. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment. The absolute best thing about this hotel is sitting outside the front having a drink and admiring a stunning view! That alone would bring us...

”The property was in a rural location and looked attractive from the outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. The bedroom was quite dark and as its an old building wasnt particularly well sound proofed. The bathroom constantly had a terrible smell, like damp. This was very unpleasant.”

”Very traditional and pretty inn in the heart of Pickering. Perfect location to explore the moors, and the heritage railway station is just down the street. The food in the restaurant is really good, as is breakfast.”
