”We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. ”Lovely property with an added lovely view from the decking across the fields , made to feel very welcome from the hosts who done me a cracking bit of breakfast. Will look to stop again sometime but hope to take the better half next visit 👌👍”

”Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. ”Room was okay but small. The mattress was amazingly comfortable albeit the wooden bed frame was a little creaky. The walls are paper thin and the doors closing and opening extremely noisy so not as restful a break as the location demands”

”Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. ”A lovely place to stay with genuinely attentive and kind staff who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and very family-friendly — even the other guests were friendly, which added to the experience. It felt comfortable and homely, and I’d happily stay again.”
