”Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden.
Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning).”

”Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre.
We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good.”

”It was an ideal stay for a short stay but I do feel that the rooms do need a bit of a revamp. I must say though, it was a very clean. Great service though and staff were very friendly. Thank you ☺️”

”Lovely staff but unfortunately the room is not fit for purpose, food is decent
Was showed room 8 but window broken (35 degree heat) & was given option for room9 a twin.
*hole in floor trip hazard
*curtain didnt open/close properly
*no side lqmp*
*Sheets scratchy
*broken floor tiles en suite
*shower rusty
Was given a fan v grateful for but filthy & throwing off bits, cleaned it but not acceptable”

”We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms.
They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay.
Very clean place. Bed was super comfy had a fantastic nights sleep.
We will definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you Andrew and all the team for looking after us. 😊😊”
