”Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has heartfelt staff who made us feel welcome. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and we loved having a nice breakfast served right to our table each morning. It's in a fantastic location, with several nice restaurants and a supermarket nearby. We especially enjoyed being able to easily walk to Bute Park, and from there, on to...

”5 star downstairs and outside. Grounds are superb. Room was ok... Bed was big, as was TV, but there were things that let it down. Cheap furniture, a wobbly toilet, an unsuitably small shelf in shower, cheap tea and coffee. Also only one bath towel between two, and one hand towel - no bath mat. For an expensive room (even for a Sunday) it was quite basic in lots of ways, and disappoining when compared to the plush bar and seating areas downstairs. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent....

”A nice lodge - Didn’t see any staff but didn’t need too although cabin is right next to the office - so convenient if needed. There is a hedgerow all behind cabin which is next to the pub which can be loud, & busy road - overall nice - quite a few cobwebs but it’s wooden so to be expected Cabin itself is very well maintained and built.”

”It had everything we needed for a one nights stay. The only thing we couldn’t find was the switch for the heating as we did need to take the chill off now it’s getting cooler. Despite the fire alarm going off and no one knowing what to do at 5am we had a pleasant stay”

Park Lane Aparthotel

Cardiff

”Extremely noisy at night as it is near the University Halls of Residence. Shouting and screaming outside the window until gone 4 am. The property should advise bringing, or provide, earplugs. There were items left in the fridge from a previous occupant and the shower was not adequately cleaned. The cupboard under the sink was not properly on its hinges and stopped the fridge door from closing. The property did not supply tea towels, washing-up liquid or cleaning cloths, which is unusual...

James' Place at Castle Cottage

Merthyr Tydfil

”Our recent birthday holiday stay had its positives, but unfortunately, it didn't fully meet our expectations. The communication with the hosts was excellent—they were welcoming and even greeted us with Welsh cakes and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my birthday, which was a lovely touch. The interior of the property was well done up, reflecting the effort put into its presentation. However, the location was not what we had anticipated. In hindsight, we should have checked the street view more...

Myrtle Cottage

”Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment. Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs. The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off. Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners.”
