”A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The fan was a definite bonus in the hot weather although the room stayed fairly shaded too. There was some traffic noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep at all (room 16). ”Staff were lovely and although our room wasn’t ready, we were shown to a room available to change in for our visit to York races. Our room wasn’t ready tired looking. The bins hadn’t been emptied from previous clients and the bedside lamps were full of cobwebs. I reported it to staff who thanked me for doing so. There is no lunch or evening meal provision anymore. Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t eat Overall this is a really lovely hotel. Warm and welcoming. The walls are thin but...

”Nice and modern hotel close to the centre and key locations. Only negative aspect was the really loud music playing in the lobby, which makes it quite annoying entrance everytime you return to the hotel. Luckily the sound insulation is top class and you can’t hear the music - or anything else for that matter - in the rooms. ”

”This was a great location. The staff were super helpful leadung up to check in. So easy for us to walk where we needed to. We got upgraded to the family room which turned out to be a bonus for when my partner gets up at stupid o'clock, it meant he didn't keep me awake. I would stay here again if i ever find myself in York again.”
