As you amble through the heart of this quaint seaside town, with its cobbled streets, atmospheric harbour and myriad of shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafés, you will be spoilt for things to do. Sample the famous Whitby fish and chips and work them off with an exhilarating cliff-top walk.

Whitby has so much to offer, no wonder it is a year round destination for holidaymakers. There is always something happening from the bi-annual Goth Festival to the Whitby Regatta, and their music festivals to the festival of Christmas.

With 3 miles of unspoilt beach, this is a fantastic location to get out and explore the natural beauty of the North York Moors and The Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Take a pleasure boat out to sea or a tour bus around the famous sights. Hop on-board the steam train that travels right into the heart of the Yorkshire Moors National Park from Whitby to Goathland famously known as ‘Aidensfield’ in the TV show ‘Heartbeat’.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Whitby forms part of the Cleveland Way Walk, a 110 mile walk which comes down the coast through Whitby, finishing at Filey, passing through quaint fishing villages and along rugged coastlines. With stunning scenery and a wonderful coastline, Little Oaks provides a great base from which to explore Yorkshire’s many attractions. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
