”I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”

”The standard double room was much smaller than expected, and the bed was two singles pushed together with a thin double topper, which made the bed very uncomfortable and lumpy. We told reception after the first night and they arranged for a better topper to be put on. If the standard double was this small then the small double must have been tiny. The bathroom was a good size though.
Rooms are only cleaned if specifically requested at reception the night before. This wasn't made clear - there...

”Website details & pictures; a different story to reality. Initial reception - given questionnaire with another guests details, spoke of our ‘standard room’ which I pointed out was incorrect - booked a superior room. MUCH whispering with a colleague and tapping of computer keyboard then told to wait whilst they sorted out a glitch with the system and issues with the superior room availability. Resolved by offering us an upgrade to a Junior Suite…’top of the range’ room. Joke…the website shows a...

”Hotel is close to the city centre, and is relatively affordable. Room is realky quiet and bed confortable.
The personnel is not welcoming or polite: the reception seemed to be more busy with their own tasks than customers. In the breakfast room the personnel on weekdays nice, but during weekend seemingly on bad mood.

”Lovely hotel, our room looked onto the Victoria Quays and had a balcony. Bed super comfortable, well appointed bathroom, great shower, nice toiletries. Leggero nespresso coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer. Adjustable rainbow colours around bed head is a nice touch. Breakfast in the Tavern is fab, friendly and helpful staff, nice bar, 15 mins walk to the Crucible, much of the way is newly paved, pedestrianised path with wild flowers and outdoor seats. Outdoor carpark on site costs £10 per day....
