”Everything here was excellent, including the staff, the facilities, the room, the view from the room, the food in the restaurants, the pool, the available water toys (kayak, hobbies, ) and the very attention to details that convey that sense of luxury (ie the shampoo, the towel, the soap, the amazing bedding, etc). They are trying to keep the sargassum away with a barrier and partially succeeding at keeping it under control. The beach is relatively small and facing east.”

”What a great location with 5 star views. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves for the 5 days we stayed. The resort could use a little updating but I’m not complaining because I loved every bit of our time there. Breakfast is amazing! I’m so sad it’s going to be turning into a club med. Such a beautiful resort.”

”The property is close to town and has a great view. However, it is in desperate need of a complete remodel. We stayed in an oceanfront king. The bed is actually a queen The room reeked of cleaning chemicals to the point of making your eyes water. There was barely a trickle of luke warm water in the shower. The cable went out and never came back on, the light on the balcony didn't work, the coffee machine was clogged and blew hot coffee throughout the room, and the hair dryer actually blew up...

”This resort is older and the rooms are dated and could use a refresh; however, they were clean and the bed was comfortable which is really all we expected since we didn't plan on being in the room the whole trip. We did the all-inclusive option which gives you access to two restaurants and two bars .... drinks were great and we found the food was very good overall. Those who enjoy this resort are the laid back type ... don't expect the Ritz or top tier furnishings and amenities. Bongolo Bay is...

”The property is beautiful the staff was good. They don’t have everyday guest service: u have to call them if you need clean towels and toilet tissue or clean sheets. The service is not automatic like everywhere else that’s the only thing I didn’t like. Overall it is a very beautiful property ”
