”We stayed for two nights, after Labor Day, in the Hampshire cottage with our dog. The unit is charming and extremely clean (occasional tiny ants in kitchen) and comfortable. The upcycled furnishings are perfect for the space. It has all utensils needed. The cooktop is gas which is nice. King bed is extremely comfortable. The property contains several other cottages and many of the cottages and the main building are under renovation but I can see the potential and look forward to seeing it...

”We had a great stay in this beautiful cottage! It has everything you could possibly need. Very clean, cozy and comfortable, all in a peaceful country setting, but yet conveniently located a couple minutes from Gordonsville, and not far from Charlottesville. My husband and I made a whirlwind trip from PA to Virginia to visit his mother after her hospice nurse contacted us to report she was not doing well. Her home is only 12 minutes from the cottage. ”This is a hidden gem in a convenient location near a winery and historical attractions. Definitely for a nature lover! No frills or fuss-just a cool place with nice amenities. The Jefferson dwelling is not for tall people as the ceiling is low. The host is hospitable and the place is very clean.”

”This tiny house was great for some alone time with your partner. The only downsides were, there was a coffee pot you could make coffee on the stove, but no coffee maker. Your are set out in the country some, so some insects are to be expected, but they mostly stayed on the first floor, there was a decent amount of ants in the kitchen (windows were rustic, so they were coming in there) we just kept any food in the fridge. The handle on the tub is broken off, and we found it weird that already...

”We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views from the spacious deck. Kids and adults enjoyed the hot tub. S’mores by the firepit was fun for all. Location to restaurant, arcade, boat rental, ice cream shop, and mini golf was a plus. The kids enjoyed the water. The host was very quick to respond to our needs. Our family reunion was a huge success.”

”Pros first - We loved the decks, sitting outside, and the dock. The dock is brand new, big, and has deep enough water on one end for kids to jump and dive. We second the recommendation to bring a 10x10 tent to provide shade during the day. Paddleboards and canoe were great. Living space was large and open.
