”The staff were all super friendly and very helpful; restaurant staff were knowledgeable too. The room was small, pretty and clean; shower and bath were great though ceiling low - it’s a historic property! Ideal location, nice to have resident’s sitting rooms and outside space. The restaurant food was superb and well priced, drinks great, breakfast excellent, coffee very good… A firmer bed and chunkier pillows, and a stretchier hairdryer cord would have made it perfect. We’d be happy to come back...

”The Hotel/Pub is very clean and has a reasonably extensive food and drinks menu. My room (9) was a little small but as a single occupant, it was very adequate. It had a kettle and all the condiments, including some biscuits. A water jug was also supplied. The staff were very attentive and professional. A quick shout to Amelia who went out of her way to provide perfect customer satisfaction. I have stayed before and will definitely stay again.”

”Winchelsea is a fascinating historic place. The ancient New Inn is a central part of it. For a night's stay it's fine: our room was comfortable enough and had a good view. Breakfast and supper offered average pub fare. What the New Inn really needs is fresh investment: the public areas are tired and e.g. our TV/ remote was worn out.”

”Hotel very clean, lovely breakfast, delightful evening menu, very friendly and helpful staff. Had a dip in the pool and relax in the jacuzzi. Great relaxing stay. Would recommend 👍”

”Our room did not have any heat; it was cold and I was ill. Someone tried to get the heater to work (unsuccessfully); they brought a space heater and extra blankets. The bathroom light was missing a bulb; loose tiles on the bathroom floor; we had to move our car from the lot before 8:30 am due to construction (on Saturday?). We needed to ask for a partial refund, but no one was available when we moved our car and left.”

”Clean, everything you need, walking distance to beach, nice and quiet. Would be 5 star except sofa smells, plant overgrown on entrance to property and back door very stiff and hard to lock. Lovely little estate of pretty houses”

”I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. ”
