”The setting and the hotel proper were great. The long corridors to get to our room needed getting used to. The staff were excellent, caring and attentive. We had erroneously not booked the fine dining Madhus and ended up in the Stables, so noisy with young folks that we left for the Glasshouse, best described as a gastro pub. ”Nice property overall, location can’t be beat, walkable to Windsor and Eton and the river. No hot water the first day, difficult to get a hold of staff as there is no overnight staffing. Emergency and contact numbers were out of date, manager didn’t pick up her mobile phone because they didn’t recognise the number calling, which we thought was odd. Water issue was remedied. No compensation offered. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Didn’t hear any noise from street or from restaurant....
