Aberdeenshire and Moray Hotellit

”Siivous ei ollut kovin perusteellista. Esim. edellisiltä unohtunut lasten hiuskoru oli sänkyni alla koko vierailun ajan. Sänky aika loppu ja yksi palanut lamppu juuri wc:n peilin kohdalla.”

”Stayed at this hotel”

”This was a fantastic place to relax, although a little dated the room was spotless and comfortable. The staff were marvellous and nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t have breakfast but had lunch and dinner a few times, the food was delicious, especially the fish specials, they are definitely worth a try. You can sit outside in the evening and really enjoy the sea air, love this part of the world and the seal beach which is a short distance from the hotel.”

”A beautiful property. You can see they've really maintained the elegance of the house. There were just a few small things like the ceiling was a bit cracked, the faucet cap was missing, and the toilet needed to be pumped in order to flush. But the staff were great and the food was very good so all in all, I would recommend it as a place to stay.”

”A nice hotel that just needs a spruce up. Basic room that had ‘old lady perfume smell’ but clean. Friendly staff. Limited bar. Small but adequate breakfast buffet. Looks more like a retirement home than a hotel.”

”This is an olde worlds building lots of little rooms also larger function suite all connected with old fashioned corridors connecting them. But there bedrooms are not small and hey are very spacious en-suite rooms. Beautifully decorated with the period they represent. The staff are very peasant, helpful and friendly. Good food. Excellent venue for a wedding as beautiful setting inside and outside extensive countryside woodland walk to the river.”

”Hugely enjoyable as always”

”I wasn’t driving and it was only a ten minute walk from the main shops and fifteen minute walk from the bus”

”I stayed in a room rather than one of the lodges, and the room was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It's worth noting its on the very edge of the town, around a 15-minute walk from the centre of Ballater. My only disappointment was that the rooms are not serviced daily unless you are staying for a longer period, which wasn't explained at check-in. It was a little frustrating to return after a long day out to find the room hadn't been serviced, as that's one of the things I most...

”We enjoyed all the comfort and atmosphere of an old inn, but with every modern convenience. The food was superb in the restaurant, and the full breakfast was as well. The common room was a cozy area with a fire, comfortable seating, and games!”

”A bit outside the city center, but new, clean and good”

”Very nice looking and clean hotel. Staff was making quite A noice by yelling and slamming the doors on the hallway and in room opposite us. Quite popular wedding place. We stayed two nights and there was two weddings at the same time. Lots of parking space. Quite good breakfast. Hotel restaurant was good.”

”Excellent overall. One minor suggestion is to have a bin in the bathroom to be able to dispose of sanitary products.”
