”This has become like our local. We love the hotel, it’s close to the shopping centre, lovely little area, good for children and peaceful. The only issue we found is the mattress was heavily stained, they could do with looking at these as the cleaners would notice this when making the bed and don’t pick up on it. Other than that, we still enjoyed our stay.”

”Room was good, clean and quiet. Could not get the wifi to work. Did not report it while there.”

”During checkout, the alarm in the room would not stop ringing. We wanted to extend our stay by one more night, and we had already informed Quinn that he would add an extra night for us. However, Nicolas did not even wait a few minutes before making a new online reservation for another night. The customer service was catastrophic.”

”Mijn 2de keer dat ik heb een overnachting geboekt hier. Mooi schoon kamers. Geweldig pub met lokaal bieren. Geweldig eigenaar en medewerkers. Heel vriendelijke lokale mensen en 5 minuten lopen van het stad centrum. Engels ontbijt van de hoogste niveau voor 9 1/2 pond. Mooi beer garden en gratis parkeren voor gasten. Top top locatie en niet duur.”

”One night stay for black sabbath concert. My bag were brought already in my room when i arrived after the concert. Very helpful and friendly staff. Bit far away from birmingham centre”

”Old premises, good for sleeping. Only single glass windows so all noise from the yard and road come was heard in the room. Noisy neighbors in the yard both nights. Breakfast is simple, I recommend to use 8,50£ for eating somewhere else. Kind personnel, quite neat hotel and surroundings. A couple of restaurants within 2 min walking. Bus stop close and good connection to downtown.”

”This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The place if filthy and everything is broken. Our bed sheets were filthy and when we spoke to reception they handed us sheets and told us to change them ourselves as they the didn’t have any staff on. The place stank of weed. The light fittings were all broken. The shower door fell off. The public areas are ridiculous. The pictures are not a representation of the hotel in the slightest. The walls in the room by the bed were filthy with...

”Bar and breakfast rooms were great..clean room..however we were given top floor room with four flights of stairs.. room too small for a double with very uneven floor.. Room was very hot window only opened six inches not much air coming in.fan provided was useless.. didn’t get much sleep as we were hot sticky and itratible..not going back.this was not in the heatwave.. the following weekend ..”

”Received an email around 3 hours before we were due to check in the booking had been cancelled. We were en-route. Called the number on the email (which was a third party - not Hotels.com). Advised the booking had been cancelled due to 'maintenance' and to contact Hotels.com directly make an alternative booking. Attempted to contact Hotels.com but could not get to speak to a human being to make an alternative booking. We were left high and dry!”

”We booked the apartment in August 2023 so the family could attend a music event which was local to apartment. On the day of Travel 26th April 2024 the booking was cancelled via email.. No phone call to warn us but an alternative 30+ miles away was offered in the email. Unfortunetly many other people have fallen fowl to this sort of approach due to many hotels being sold out and high prices starting to appear due to both the music event and a Wolves home football game. Many hotels coming back up...

”Convenient location and very clean inside (a bit shabby exterior). Strange accommodation set up and room layout let this place down - single bathroom only accessible through the tiny kitchen, no kitchen worksurfaces, no forks?! Communication / check-in very good and friendly.”

”Absolutely horrendous experience with a "host" who was completely unreasonable and unfair, that ruined our weekend and left us with a loss of money (and extra unofficial charges through PayPal) and no where to stay. Never again and would advise starting well clear. ”
