”The room was large and clean with a nice view of the lake Not a fan of the check-in process, though, and how there was no one manning the front desk. I called and spoke with someone (as the protocol dictated) but they didn't send me the email or text with my room code that they promised would be sent "right away." I had to call them back after 15 minutes and then wait on hold for them to answer before they resent it. This is very impersonal and inconvenient check in system in my opinion. Not...

”The innkeeper was amazing. Older place but ok. Has a fridge, coffee pot , and a microwave. That came in handy as by the tine we got to rhe room everything was closed but 24 hr. Safeway. Bed was huge but had Donner pass in middle so I couldn't ever snuggle with my husband.”

”Room was clean and comfortable; bed was great. For this price point, however, I expected something better. There was no inviting common space, the hot tub was laughably small, the rooms have no view and deck is tiny and not very inviting.”

”Charming, clean rooms and excellent hospitality！ They offer free coffee, tea, and cookies every day at 3:00 PM—which was exactly what I needed after a long day of hiking and kayaking. It felt just like home.”

”Room 105 was clean, with high ceilings. But it could be updated, and it had ticking sound in the wall. The TV was not in front of either bed or sofa; it was very awkward to watch the TV no matter where we sat. The hotel didn't provide a filtered water fountain. The breakfast was very basic.”

”The location is perfect! The only complaint I have is there was not any dresser's or storage for your clothes. We got extra hangers and made it work. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach is right across the street and lots of activities are within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.”

”It was a cute room and it was clean. But it’s not very well lit outside if you wanted to go to the casino at night. Also, there is no on-site gift shop and no on-site food at all! So it was a problem that I forgot my toothbrush and I was hungry. There’s no refrigerator in the room either so you can’t keep food there. It’s good if you don’t wanna spend a lot of time in your room and you’re not looking for food close by.”

”We've stayed at a few Ritz-Carlton resorts including New Orleans and Turks & Caicos a month or two after it opened and this one did not disappoint! We loved it so much we applied for a Ritz-Carlton credit card...the resort is tucked away in the mountains of Truckee and it's absolutely beautiful. ”Interesting and unique place ! The bed was super comfortable, slept great. Rooms very small and no extra frills, it worked for the main purpose, sleep, shower. Perfect place for travelers to meet and mingle. Mostly spent our time in Truckees many restaurants/bars or Northstar skiing. I would recommend if looking for a lil more affordable place ! Personally a lil pricy for a hostel, but its Truckee, tourist town and close to skii resorts, thats just the way it is !”
