Very cool property in historic setting. Loved the decor - they saved lots of pieces from the mill and have them creatively displayed. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant. Will definitely stay here again!

Lovely renovated building was more beautiful than expected. Huge, spacious rooms with all the amenities. High quality bedding and very comfortable. Loved the interior decor. Food in the dining area was reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommended!

An architectural gem rehabilitating a former woolen mill. Each toom has unique features with cre a tive use of old equipment as decor throughout. Friendly staff. Good food. Amenities of main Amana nearby. Destinatio chargers for EV a plus. Quiet town with most attractions closed by 7 PM

Very friendly staff--check in staff, restaurant staff, and the on-location store staff. The rooms were clean, updated and spacious. The hotel was an easy walk to all the shops in Amana

Love visiting Amana. Lots of shopping- couple wineries- hotel is just a very nice hotel. Can easily walk to the brewery for food. Hotel has a bar & restaurant also. Easy to walk to Main Street for shop- food- drink. Great place to spend a week end

We spent a wonderful night at Hotel Millwright In Amana, conveniently located by the main area of town. Displays of old equipment in the hotel are fascinating. Breakfast in the Indigo Room was excellent!

Very kind, helpful staff especially when checking in! The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Everything was very clean and new looking. The beds were super comfortable with very nice pillows. Great location for all the shops and restaurants. Very quiet for a great night sleep! Loved the historical decor! We visited for the weekend and plan to go back during the week so we can tour the wool mill.

It is unique in its style as it is an old mill. The smell of wool is still in the air! The room was very spacious, but the trashes are too small. It was a nice touch to have a recycling basket as well as trash. Our refrigerator did not work upon arrival, but the front desk took care of that. We used the dishes that were provided, but there wasn't any dish liquid to clean up and the maid left them after our first day. It was a fun experience, but not the cozy experience we wanted.

Love this hotel. Only note is that is was a little loud due to concrete floors in the hallways, but loved the look of the concrete so wouldn’t change.

Genuine and thoughtfully transformed wool mill
Hotel Millwright is more of the museum showing the history of the actual working wool mill that has been there for almost 100 years. All decor is very intentional and beautiful. The way they have taken the buildings and transform them into a working boutique hotel is amazing. It is truly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Fabulous boutique hotel
I just returned from a stay at a hotel in Millwright in Amana, Iowa. My experience at Hotel Millwright was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, efficient service. The room was huge and clean and comfortable with a modern vibe reflected within the woolen mill walls. It was fun to walk around the property and see a little history of the woolen mill and the Amana colonies. I had a wonderful cocktail at the little bar near the lobby. The bartender was friendly and made delicious drinks. A BRAUHAUS restaurant across the street was delightful with a good beer and Burger and a ball game on TV. I would highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Millright in Amana, Iowa.

This lovely hotel is a unique historical site. Very interesting decor from the days that it was a woolen mill. The rooms are very modern and clean.

Valentines weekend
Stayed here for a fun valentines weekend. My husband and I had a great stay. The staff was nice, breakfast at the restaurant was delicious, and it was so fun to be so close to the Amana colonies. The building was historic but clean and updated at the same time. Overall it was a fantastic stay!
