”We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. ”

”Wonderful stay at Pale Hall Hotel. Beautiful and comfortable room. Warm and welcoming staff. Excellent dining options - a tasting menu / fine dining or a bar menu. Both served in a beautiful dining room. We had the bar menu and it was wonderfully cooked. Morning breakfast was perfect and a small gift of water and cookies for our journey much appreciated. We would highly recommend this hotel. ”

”We had a lovely short stay at The Feathers. The room was lovely, with an amazing bathtub and, best of all, AIR CONDITIONING, which we really appreciated as it was unusually hot during our visit. The room was also very quiet at night - we heard hardly anything from the pub. I recommend the pub itself too, lovely decor and very friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again, and absolutely recommend it to other travellers. ”

”Yet another great stay at the Castle. Rooms always warm and clean but if you want operating theatre cleanliness this is perhaps not the place for you! We love this place for its character and of course the peacocks. Staff always friendly and helpful. See you again in a few weeks!”

”I arrived from London on the motorcycle and had a warm welcome with a lovely comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with a top class shower. Sadly I arrived too late for their delicious menu as the kitchen closes early on Sunday. But I will be back very soon as I have moved near Chester and Bala is only miles away. Highly recommended. ”Lovely great location close to the village great amenities. Clean and well kept would definitely return great for families. Only downside and recommendation for improvement was the dining table only had 4chairs but place sleeps 6 . There was breakfast bar seating though but this wasn’t suitable for us. ”
