”Stayed one night the inn was nice and the staff very friendly. The food was good in the restaurant and a good breakfast. The car park was full when we arrived and my car was damaged overnight with no note left. ”

”Room was dated but clean and had everything we needed for one night. On arrival there was no one at reception and we had to wait quite a while to check in, in spite of staff walking past us waiting. We wanted to get dinner at the hotel but the staff closed the restaurant 30min early and wouldn't serve us. Again we waited at the bar while three members of staff chatted and ignored us. Would not recommend the service here.”

”We arrived to find the room we had booked on the first floor had been trashed the night before and the only available room was on the second floor . The problem for us was my husband is recovering from hospital so the extra stairs didn't help. That said the staff were amazing and did all they could to help us and although it was a smaller room it was lovely. We had several meals in the hotel which were very good and would recommend The White Lion Royal.”

”Lots to like here. Room was spacious and clean, staff were courteous and helpful, parking was ample, and location was a very pleasant stroll from town, 10-15 mins depending on pace. We ate here and the food was good, if a touch on the pricey side. We also had a massage which sadly wasn’t to our taste; the experience itself was good, again nice staff, pleasant surroundings, but we opted for deep tissue and got what I would describe as Swedish. ”Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants”

”Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. Restaurant menu was limited but is being updated and the prices were reasonable, as was the bar. Breakfast was enough to keep you going for the day. Never got to use the pool but looked inviting. Property somewhat worn and needs a good paint job but wear and tear is understandable on a place that sees so many holiday makers.
