Fun and clean
Fun and clean hotel(motel) to spend one or two nights. I spent 4 nights and i think that's too much in this one. All the rooms are small and thats okay because its the style they want it to be. Breakfast included our room and there was only 2 options to choose from. Honestly it was decent but sooooo boring. I would improve that asap.

Overall the staff was friendly and breakfast delicious. But the rooms are really small ones, no windows and the first room was just a box - no space at all. To be honest - not the way I want spend my nights. Perhaps this is ok to younger travellers - who do not want to care if WC and showers are shared. But it was a exciting experience ... once for me is enough!

Cool hotel, healthy breakfast, small rooms
Hotel is very unique and has good feeling. You meet all other quests easily as rooms are small and you want to hangout on common areas. Bookcases does have actually interesting books. Wish I could have stayed longer. Rooms are really small so they are only for sleeping.

Great experience!
Coolest hotel ever! Unfortunately the hotel bar was under construction while we were there, but that only means I will definitely be visiting again. I mean, who wouldn't want a secret bookcase door to their hotelroom?! Awesome!

Raitiovaunussa
Erilainen hotelli, mutta mukavuudeltaan lähinnä hostellitasoinen. Yövyin vanhassa raitiovaunussa, jossa oli sänky ja yksi penkki, ei mitään muuta. Eli se sopii todellakin vain nukkumiseen. Käsittääkseni suurin osa muistakin "huoneista" on samantyyppisiä. Paikkaa ei voi suositella kuin yhden yön majoittumiseen. Mutta ihan mielenkiintoinen. Raitiovaunulinja lähistöllä, jolla pääsee kätevästi keskustaan.

This was definitely an interesting place to stay! Each room had a theme, and the decor was well designed. Only minus was that the door was difficult to lock (you had to push hard and fiddle with the key to get it out after closing the lock). The breakfast was excellent (not a buffet but à la carte) and the hotel offered a bike rental service, witch helped to explore the city!

Very quirky place to stay, we thought the room being behind the bookcase was really cool! I wasn’t as a fan of the photos on the ceiling though Overall I can’t complain about the place, the staff were nice and the shared bathrooms were perfectly clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast here as well. The only things I wasn’t as keen on (small room etc.) I already knew before going and was advertised as such, so that’s my own problem really! Would recommend to anyone looking for a budget hotel in Amsterdam who doesn’t want to stay in dorms/a proper hostel

This hotel is completely unprofessional. I was supposed to stay here, however at the time of booking, it was not made obvious that this hotel is not accessible. I had to find another place to stay last minute, as my mother who was recovering from a broken neck, can not climb stairs-the only room available. I have made multiple requests to be compensated, only to have the hotel not respond to Expedias emails, and be told nothing can be done. Avoid at all costs- for their lack of professionalism, and discriminatory practices- please note, that now their page mentions that there is no elevators- so they are aware of this complaint- just don't respond.

My partner and I had expected a quirky boutique hotel, but were unhappy with the "Crisis Free Zone" room, particularly the poor ventilation and poor air quality, which made the room we were meant to be staying in very stuffy. The ventilation system was noisy, poorly-installed and poorly-mounted in the eaves of the room so that it did not actually ventilate the space, and the only way to properly air out the room would have been either to keep a fan running the whole time, or to keep the door open, exposed to the entrance of the hotel. Even with the door closed we could hear everything outside of the room, and I imagine this would have continued through the night as the hotel includes a lively bar next to the communal bathroom facilities. Additionally the communal bathrooms were not well-stocked, as there was no soap by the sinks and no toilet roll in the WC cubicle. We didn't stay long enough to check out the showers. I would be very surprised if the designer of the "Crisis Free Zone" had actually stayed in their creation, as it did not feel fit for purpose.

The hotel is very chic and the rooms are nicely themed. Location is really close to Kinkerstraat and you can easily get to the museums or the downtown area by tram easily. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My only gripe is that there was never any soap in the dispensers near the sinks, even though i brought it up twice. Not sure if that's maybe an Amsterdam thing? Otherwise, great.

It was such a great and unique experience, being not too far from all the museum's and experiences while being in such a quiet and beautiful area of the city. The staff were kind and helped point me in the direction of interesting places and food! They even gave me a little book to help find them all! 10/10, would stay again if I ever find myself back in Amsterdam!

We arrived 30 Minutes prior to check-in time. We were then told, our room wasn't going to be ready for another two hours (due to "technical problems". Instead of notifiying us prior, we went to the hotel just to leave again and wonder the streets with my kid for two hours. Instead of taking a rest from the trip, use the bathromm an freshen up, i had to walk around the city with my kid for HOURS. I asked them to notify us, as soon as the room is ready. So after that didn't happend, i called and they said that the room was ready already since an hour and a half ago. We were offered a free breakfast, which was a nice gesture, but didn't compensate us wasting hours and the incompetence of the young man at the desk, not even being able to notify us that our room is ready.

Hidden Gem hotel south of the city, so is nice to get a chance to explore all of Amsterdam. Vondelpark nearby and is on route to the museums. We loved the coziness of our room and it’s quirky feel. The shared bathrooms were clean and well kept. We enjoyed the bar for drinks, but the only thing I would say is I wish water could have been accommodated for the rooms . Thank you to the friendly and helpful staff that made our stay comfortable

This was a simply divine holidaying experience for both of us with nothing to fault. From the off, the staff were friendly, amiable and dare i say it.... funny. The accomdation was spectacular and everywhere you looked you found more and more little quirky rooms all arpund the hotel, including an amazing library with spme hidden gems (and hidden rooms!) The food was also something like we had never experienced before; a full dining experience in the Kevin Bacon_ restaurant, serving some truly scrumptios Thai cuisine in the evening and a delightful twist for breakfast. A short walk away frpm the centre of Amsterdam with accessibility via trams, and of course bicycles. We would recommend this place at the drop off a hat. A true five star experience if ever we had one!

As many reviews said, the whole staff there is great. Also the rooms are exactly what they advertise and that’s a plus in my book. We had the room right behind the counter and couldn’t complain about much noise neither in the morning nor in the evening. But the one thing I would change are the bathrooms. Not because of their cleanliness but because of their practicability. Every morning the cleaning staff was in there tidying the place up, but after a single shower the effect is neglected. The showers should either be beneath ground level, so the water doesn’t get everywhere (especially when you are not showering with the showerhead in your hand) or just close the gap between the glass and the ground.

Al met al een prima verblijf voor één nacht. Wanneer je hier langer verblijft, of meer dan een rugzak bij je hebt zal de kamer al snel te klein zijn. Weinig tot geen opbergruimte zorgt ervoor dat de kamer al snel rommelig wordt. Het grootste nadeel waren de dunne muurtjes, waardoor erg gehorig. We konden de andere gasten bijna woordelijk verstaan bij de receptie toen zij aan het in-/uitchecken waren. Daarnaast was de kamer niet heel goed schoongemaakt en zijn er natuurlijk wel enige gebruikssporen. Een kleine opfrisbeurt en wat praktische opbergers/plankjes (in de badkamer) zou een hoop schelen.

The staff is so awesome. Very helpful. The rooms are small but they dont feel too small at all. The bathrooms are super clean and offer a lot of privacy which was huge for us. For a hostel, this is really nice and clean. They have a cool bar too!

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, pero eso se está dicho en la descripción del hotel. La atención es buena y el desayuno me gustó mucho. No está muy céntrico por lo que tuvimos que caminar bastante

Man wollte uns bei der Ankunft ein anderes Zimmer aufschwatzen, welches ohne eigenes Bad gewesen wäre. Hotel war sehr sauber und zentral gelegen. Straßenbahn in 2 Minuten Entfernung.
