Akropolis Luxury House

  • Akropolis Luxury House on oma 35 m2 patio, ihanteellisella paikalla, erittäin rauhallinen, upeat näkymät ja hyvin lähellä kaupungin puistoon.
    Plaka, erittäin luonnonkaunis Ateenan vanhakaupunkialue ja Akropolis-museo ovat 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä ja Thissio-metroasema on vain minuutin kävelymatka.
    Talo on rakennettu vuonna 2011, moderni muotoilu ja sisustettu ylellinen mukava ja erottuva tyyli. Kalustettu italialaisilla huonekaluilla ja täysin varustettu Trussardi Home.
    Keittiö on täysin varustettu mikroaaltouuni, sähköliesi, astianpesukone, jääkaappi, ruokailuvälineet, astiat ja pannut, vedenkeitin, leivänpaahdin. Pölynimuri ja pyykinpesukone ovat myös saatavilla. Tilavat kaapit lisäävät mukavan oleskelun. Liinavaatteet ja pyyhkeet tarjoavat myös Trussardi Home.
    Talo on täysin ilmastoitu ja talvella on myös itsenäinen lämmitysjärjestelmä.

Spectacular location

The apartment is very cute. Both couches pull out to a double bed and they are comfortable. It was very hot in Athens, but the AC was great in the unit.

Perfekte Lage

Eine schöne und ruhige Wohnung, von der man entspannt viele Sehenswürdigkeit fußläufig erreichen kann. Auch die U-Bahn, Restaurants und ein Supermarkt sind in umittelbarer Nähe. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und kooperativ. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Lovely ONE Bedroom option

This is a lovely property in a very good location. It is important to be aware that, while the property does sleep 6 people, it has only ONE true bedroom. It also has an open loft with a sofabed and a second sofabed in the living room. If your group needs to be able to house people in separate bedrooms, this property may not work for you. Aside from that, this is a wonderful place. It is quiet, comfortable, and close to many attractions. I did have to relocate due to this being a one-bedroom rather than a three-bedroom. The host was very cooperative and allowed me an early checkout and a refund for the unused nights.

Be careful have everything in writing.

Everyday we took a cold shower. I asked if the washing machine is working and the owner stated it was. When I got there and used it the machine was not working. The owners mother called for service on top of that she was expecting me to pay for it. The shower door was broken and fell on my mother. When I told the owners mother that the door was broken she said yes the last tenant broke it. Just take a shower carefully. The light bulb in the bathroom was broken also. In my contract my check out time was 1:00 pm , but they told me I needed to leave the house at 12:00. I told them I will not leave at 12:00 as my contract states 1:00. Our towels and bed sheets was changed only once in the 10 days we stayed. When I asked for new sheets and towels, she got mad and said this is not a hotel.

Great Location!

The home is small with a kitchenette with one pot one pan. The home is only a short walk to mini markets, shops, Acropolis, meat/fish market, etc. Meat/fish market and many others close on Sunday, though. We didn't have a vehicle which was a right choice. Taxi was $60 from the airport and $90 back, same driver different price, probably due to the time. Many Greek restaurants and establishments ONLY take cash, check first. Athens and Santorini have the best food. Greek food is now one of my favorites, way better than the Mediterranean food in the States.

Great place to stay, close to everything.

We went to Greece for my daughters High school graduation trip. Our family looked at many places on the VRBO web site and end up choose the Acropolis Luxury House. We are very glad we did. The owner met us at the house and took the time to set with us. She told us all the good place to eat as well as to visit. Great place, Great time. We wouldn't stay any where else if we ever go back.

Great Condo !!! Location is very convenient !

The place is very comfortable with air contioner, is comfortable for 5 - 6 people without problem... Christos, Panus taxi driver charged 30 euros for picking up and droping off to the airport... It was OK because we were party of 5. its location is great. Bakery around the corner is a must for this place. You can go walking to many places... we never used metro as it was very close. Definitly I will use it again. High recommendable. Thanks

The location of this property couldn't be any better as far as the ability to walk to Everything! The Acropolis, Agoura, museums, grocery store, ATMS, transportation, shopping, and more restaurants/cafes than you can imagine. The apartment shares a common courtyard area that is welcoming and open to the sky. Lovely flowers and comfy furniture provided a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. There were 4 of us (2 couples) sharing the apartment. The kitchen was small but provided everything we needed. It had really one true bedroom and a loft with a sofa/trundle bed. The loft was pretty private, but no closet or storage area for clothes. The one bath was modern and quite sufficient with a clothes washer included. The apartment was a separate unit from the other apartments and therefore felt more like a separate house! I asked Panos if he could arrange transportation for us from the airport and he arranged to have Cristos meet us with a sign with our name on it and a taxi large enough to accommodate 4 people and all of our luggage. We enjoyed our ride with Cristos so much, that we arranged for him to take us sightseeing during our stay. One day we went to Delphi and another day he took us to the Temple of Poseidon. Cristos was very knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. Be sure to ask Panos to arrange your transfer with Cristos, you won't be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this beautiful apartment.

A Bait and Switch Business VRBO

The home is in a good location. We made the reservation and paid for it before arrival for 3 adults and 2 children. When we arrived, they had the reservation for 2; after we showed them the reservation they agreed and apologized for the mistake. They then had to provide more bedding At the end of the stay, The property manager demanded another 100 euros (20 euros per person) when we were checking out. They also would not give us the address of the home before arrival; we were required to use there taxi service from the airport that would take to the home for an additional fee. The taxi driver is nice and not associated with the rental company but I can see the rental company takes a cut of the taxi drivers fee. Most of all, the experience of raising the rate after you move in and telling you at check out makes the vacation experience sad. I would not recommend staying here. I am a Vacation Rental Home owner of multiple properties and would not treat any of my guest in this way. Please beware if you decide to use this property there will be more fees than they advertise.

Perfect for exploring!

We loved our stay in Athens! Felt like we were slightly off the beaten path to avoid the sounds of the city but restaurants and sights were just around the corner. Literally! Parthenon is an easy stroll of 20 minutes away via nice walking streets. Usually we tour during the day and then return to our lodging by nightfall and settle in for the night. But here, it was extremely easy to go out, see what we wanted, return to the House for a break and then go out for dinner (or dessert at Full Spoon or Diavlos). It also felt safe which is important to me with children. Lots of people enjoying the evening in a pleasant way. Honestly, it was one of the most relaxing vacations we've had. The subway system is just around the corner but we felt like everything was so close that we decided to walk everywhere. As far as the House itself, it was immaculately clean, plenty of towels (thank you!), fluffy pillows for all, adjustable heating system to keep you warm, wi-fi perfect. We loved the seperate bedroom, large living room and upstairs loft that gave us room to spread out. Only regret is that I wish we had been there for warmer weather to enjoy the enclosed living room-pretty plants and relaxing atmosphere. Perhaps next time!

We had a enjoyable stay!

We had a wonderful experience! We were met at the airport by the taxi driver recommended by the owner. At the apartment, the owner's mom met us and showed us around the place and offered her assistance. We were treated very well. The apartment had the necessities for our family of 4, including 2 young children. The Acropolis, Monastiraki and Plaka districts were all within walking distance. It was just a few minutes to the Thissio metro station, and there was a supermarket and bakery nearby. We recommend this apartment.

Well appointed apartment within easy walking to major tourist sites

We were a family traveling with our children on vacation, and this was a great spot close to the metro and to the Acropolis. The apartment was well equipped with a loft with a sofa and trundle for the kids to sleep in their own space. We mostly ate at the many local restaurants, but were able to keep leftovers and make morning tea and coffee in the compact but functional kitchen. The owner's mother met us to give us the keys as well as an introduction to the apartment. And for hot summer days when we were fm doing a lot of site seeing, the air conditioning felt great!

Super Location & Comfortable Apartment

We spend a few days to visit Athen for the first time. And we were very impressed about the location - it was very quiet and a kind of residential. The taxi driver (Christos - you should asked Panos if he could arrange a pick up from the airport in case you need) promised that we would be only a 20 seconds walk away from the Acropolis area. And it was true. Many nice restaurants nearby, and the next metro station is only a few minutes away. Even so a bakery and super market. The apartment is really nicely furnished and staffed with everything you need. The only thing you should aware of: there is only one really bedroom. And two pull out sofas in different areas of the apartment. But all are good to sleep. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. So all in all we can definitely recommend this apartment. Great place--fabulous location

Elli, Paros' mother, was warm and welcoming. The aprtment was very clean, efficient, and nicely done. Both Elli and Paros were available for what we needed. With all those good things, by far the best feature of the apartment was its location. For the major historical sites, for the Central Market, the apartment was never more than a 10--15 minute walk. Next time back to Athens, it is exactly where we would stay.

Perfect stay!

We came to Athens to run the Athens marathon on Nov 8th, & booked this place for 6 nights. Its an old house that has been completely refitted into a 2 room apartment. It was perfect for 3 of us - my wife and I took the downstairs bedroom & my sister-in-law slept in the loft upstairs. ( technically its not a bedroom, but its very cozy & can sleep 2). The location was great, we walked all over, (its a nice, safe neighborhood) made the circuit around the Acropolis through Plaka & Monastiraki & back several times - its about 4 km to go all the way around. Thisso metro station is very close by & convenient. There is a bakery, supermarket & plenty of cafes to dine in very close by, as well as an authentic taverna just around the corner, where you buy your lamb chops by the kilo! We even walked back from the Marathon finish at Kalimarmaro stadium to the house. Ellie (Panos' mom) was a wonderful host, she even arranged a day cruise for us to Hydra, Poros & Aegina, and Christos picked us up at the airport, even dropped us early on Sunday morning in Marathon for the race start, and was extremely helpful. Of all the amenities, I found the pocket kitchen most delightful, an entire functional kitchen packaged into a kitchen cupboard sized space. The washer and the drying rack also proved to be handy, to wash all that soaked through race gear. And the wi-fi was flawless. All in all, we had a great stay & I would recommend this place to any one.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment in a great location

I think most people who use VRBO are like us and want a place in the thick of things. This place really fits that description. It is less than 2/10 of a mile, 240 meters, to the Thissio Metro station, a quick walk through a park. Just as close are many very good restaurants. Walk another block and there are more restaurants with a view of the Acropolis, that is beautifully lit at night. We walked all over Athens, averaging 5 miles a day but cabs are waiting near the restaurants and metro, if you don't feel like walking. The apartment itself is quite lovely and roomy. It is also very clean. There are two units and we were able to stay in one while my in laws took the other. It was great for each of us to have our own apartments but still be close. Ask the Owner to arrange for Christos to pick you up at the airport. His cab is very roomy and he is a wonderful guide. He also took us to Delphi and Sounio.

PERFECT LOCATION !!

This place is just like the picture. It was very clean & well maintained. This property is in walking distance to everything, which is great. The metro , the Acropolis, & Flea Market, is only a 5 min walk. There is a bakery around the corner, & places to eat in less than a 5 min walk. There are coffee shops that are open 24 hours in the area. One thing is that this is not a 2 bedroom. There is a pullout sofa, in the living room & a loft, with a couch, but, it does not pullout. There is actually only 1 bedroom. The kitchen is a hideaway, very small, but it will work. Panos's mother & wife Vicky were very friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay there again. I would also recommend this place to others.

Perfect Location!

We just concluded our 10 day trip to Greece, with the last 4 nights spent in this lovely apartment. The bed was comfortable, the linen high quality. The bathroom is well appointed with nice tile and shower. Very clean and very well maintained. The pictures are exactly as shown in the listing, however, there are a couple differences that should be noted. There is not a 2nd bedroom. The loft does have a couch but not for sleeping. There is a floor pillow that can be used. The second area for sleeping is a couch, with a pull out trundle, in the living room. While we were able to make this work, it was a little tight on space having 3 teenagers sleep in the living room. There is no "view", although there is a patio for sitting. The patio is just outside the entrance to the apartment, attached to the main house. With the weather in August so hot, we were not able to take advantage of the area but it is decorated nicely to sit there. While these things didn't affect our vacation, it is something to consider if you definitely want/need a second bedroom and a view. Panos was always reachable by email and his mother, Ellie, was a perfect hostess. Thank you for the lovely parting gift! I would definitely recommend this apartment and would certainly return there when we come back to Athens. Danielle and Family

We had a wonderful stay here. It's a great neighborhood - very quiet and residential, but just a few steps away from the Acropolis area. Lots of great restaurants nearby, and very easy access to a metro station. The house itself is really nicely furnished, with everything you could need, and our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Athens Delight

We were so pleased from beginning to end. From our early communication to arrival through departure all went smoothly at our lovely apartment. A taxi was arranged and met us at he airport for a reasonable 30 Euros. We got a ride and a tour into the city with lots of tips from a great fellow, Kristos, who also picked us up for our return 3 days later. The apartment was everything we expected and more and we were made right at home by our hostess. Also the location is superb and so easy to walk everywhere and access all the sights of the old Athens. Don't hesitate to book with Panos and his mom. You will be delighted. Thanks to them for such a lovely stay in Athens!!!

beautiful apartment, great location

We had a lovely stay in this cozy, clean, and well decorated apartment. The place is just as the pictures and boasts a great loft on the second floor that's wonderful for relaxing. The kitchen is small but tidy with all the basic amenities covered that you would need if you are just touring..because there are great restaurants nearby anyway so why cook? Just about everything is walking distance...metro, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, shopping, and of course, the acropolis! Panos was quick to respond to any needs that came up during our stay.

Tasteful interior, central but quiet location.

It felt like being at home: very tastefully furnished, cosy apartment in walking distance from the main historical sites of Athens and a lively restaurant area, yet in a very quiet neighbourhood.

The apartment was clean. No odors. Bed was very comfortable. A market was 3 blocks away. A bakery was about a block away. Close enough to walk to many great places. Kitchen was small and had a small table to eat on, but for the average traveler, it would be fine, we had children so we had to get creative, but it was ok. The owners are very nice and willing to help you if needed.

The apartment was clean. No odors. Bed was very comfortable. A market was 3 blocks away. A bakery was about a block away. Close enough to walk to many great places. Kitchen was small and had a small table to eat on, but for the average traveler, it would be fine, we had children so we had to get creative, but it was ok. The owners are very nice and willing to help you if needed. The downside of the apartment with children is the large amount of breakable items, but we removed them all and put them under the staircase and then set them back up before checking out. Bring soaps and shampoo for the shower, not included.

No doubt , best place ever ...

This is a lovely lovely home and it is located in the most beautiful area of Athens ( 5 minutes walking to the main sites ( Akropoli , Monastiraki , Plaka ,...) and just in front to metro Thision (100m) (Something to take into account to avoid the expenses of the taxi from the airport) . The house was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable and believe me , exactly as it looks in the pictures . We were a 6 members family and we were plenty of room . The owner was helpful since we arrived and she even provided us with everything we needed to manage with our 1 year baby ( bed , food-mixer,...) Great experience 100% recommendable
