We were offered $30 for the inconvenience which I did not feel was appropriate for no sleep, no AC with two small children in tow. ”The view from the top terrace patio was beautiful and it was comfortable to sit outside and nature watch and talk with other travelers. The staff was so helpful and nice. The breakfast options were varied. I needed some down time so sat and read on the terrace with a lovely view and protection from the rain. ”This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. ”

The mineral waters were also very enjoyable, it’s not running water but soaking in the pool after a day of hiking was so relaxing. The surrounding of the mineral waters are lovely.
