”Excellent hotel with excellent service. Hot springs area was amazing and much bigger than expected. We visited here in low season (May) and there were zero crowds in the hotel nor hot springs. If you go to this hotel, make sure you enjoy the hot springs at night time as well. ”

Breakfast however was a joke: worst we’ve had in 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Cheapest possible ingredients and even coffee was bitter & bad (first time ever in CR :)”

”Really beautiful and peaceful resort! The hotel has its own hot springs, and also an outside jacuzzi. The amenities of the room were great, for example the insect repellent cream was very useful. The resort area was well kept, and all kind of animals were walking around. Besides for families, this hotel was an excellent choice also for a solo traveller looking for tranquility.”

”If you are staying in La Fortuna, I cannot imagine a better option. We used it as a home base for all the usual activities in the area. For meals, we could cook right there (the Super Rosvil market is a short walk away) or we could go out to eat - there's Mario's place on the next corner for easy food, or an easy walk to downtown for lots of other options). Secure parking at the apartment beat trying to find parking in town.

”No one was around for check in. I had to wait around in the rain for 1 hour before a second couple showed up with a cellphone with a sim card. They were able to message the property through the app and got someone there within 20 minutes or so. They also tried to charge me twice.. If you stay here, make sure you have your receipt ready in case they try to charge you again. Also, it's a good idea to buy a sim card so you can contact them when you get there. It is NOT a manned office. ”

”This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...

”Natascha was an excellent hostess and gave us vouchers for breakfast and a trip to Relax Termalitas, which was a fun hot springs park. The cabanas have a good AC which keeps it nice and cool. Natascha was extremely helpful and responsive over WhatsApp. I highly recommend this property. ”

”We loved our stay at Nayari Villas! The villa was beautiful, even better than the pictures. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. We had a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano. After a couple of days of travelling, I was happy to be able to do some laundry. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the extra blankets since we like sleeping with heavy blankets. The beds were a bit firm (we prefer extra soft mattresses), but we still slept very well. We used the kitchen to make a homemade meal one...
