”Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...

”Arrived to the hotel an hour early and was checked in straight away to be accommodated by our very clean and spacious room with a great view. Then got booked into the spa which was also very good and clean. We then went to the bar were there was a very friendly young man serving who did a great job. ”Nice hotel, pretty standard layout, a little old now and tied in places by the look of it room is clean decor from the 1980s at Best functional, Service was pretty friendly on checking. Didn’t read anywhere about the parking issue they have outsourced it, so you have to pay extra for that And be careful if you don’t because it’s got APR cameras, not quite what you expect in the Lake District”

”Lovely building and location - out of the busy but not too far! Nicely decorated and furnished albeit it does feel like a walk if you’re in one of the 400+ numbered rooms! Ate in the brasserie one evening food was good but the battered fish, whilst plentiful, was maybe a bit “soggy”. The breakfasts were excellent and if you don’t see anything you like then maybe best stay at home! Room was huge as was the comfy bed. A lot of new staff learning the ropes ahead of the peak season but can’t fault...

”Overall the place was good. The views are beautiful and the best part. Everything you need is in the room (except oven) Rooms are slightly outdated but fine for couple nights. ”Decent little apartment, clean, comfortable. Perfectly good for a couple of days stay. You've got to bring everything except salt and pepper if you want to cook, but everything seemed to work OK. Managed to time our arrival for the exact moment the local farmers were muck spreading, which made the first afternoon a bit unpleasant on the nostrils, but that's hardly the venue's fault. ”

”It somehow lacked the elegance we expected. The bar and restaurant were much like an upmarket Wetherspoon's so we went to the local Wetherspoon's instead. The exterior wasn't the stark white we expected from the photos and some of the doors were badly rust stained. The accommodation was ok but the gap between bed and wall was too small for comfort. ”

”The property was easy to find. Parking was easy. Got a friendly welcome. Breakfast was ready before time which was really helpful as we had to leave quickly. The room was a bit difficult to get in to as there was a bedside stand as soon as you open the door so had to negotiate around it everytime I entered & exited the room.”

”We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property. The staff were so helpful and polite, they took fantastic care of us. The hotel and surrounding area were beautiful and well kept, the rooms were comfortable with plenty of space and accessible showers. Breakfast was included with the stay and was a delicious buffet, and dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. When we return to Windermere we will absolutely be coming back to stay here again. ”
