”Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff especially reception were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't really fault this stay.”

”Sijainti on loistava 10min kävely juna-asemalta, hotellista lyhyt kävely matka keskustaan. Hotellin alakerrassa on erittäin mukava pubi ja henkilökunta. Pubissa tarjoillaan aamiainen jonka saa itse valita muutamasta vaihtoehdosta mm. englantilainen aamianen. Huone jossa olin sijaitsi pubin yläkerrassa(mitään ääniä ei kuulunut,yövyin arkena)se oli viihtyisä ja tilava, sängyssä oli hyvä nukkua. Erikoisuutena huoneessa on että käsienpesu lavuaari on wc:n ulkopuolella.”

”Room was small but lovely and very clean. Staff were fantastic throughout our stay whether at reception, room cleaning and breakfast all were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A fantastic hotel on a great location within walking distance of all key main attractions ”

”Very lovely welcome to a historic and plush, cosy stay at Jorvik House for a post Christmas getaway. Everything fantastic, only mimor gripes that Yorks parking might be a tad cheaper, perhaps there are cheaper ones than the conveniently located Marygate car park a stones throw away.”

”Very good first impression , staff friendly and helpful, lovely room, very comfy bed, would have preferred a shower cubicle, not a shower over bath. All very good will certainly be staying here again”

”Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind. ”

”What a beautiful room! Great to have a sofa and a big tv with lots of channels to choose from. Slept fairly well, but there was no aircon and the windows opened just a little bit. It’s a bit far from the city centre but totally walkable. Train station about 10 min walk away. It was a lovely stay overall, but very pricey.”

”Fantastic hotel. Staff are really friendly. They treated our daughter to a chocolate bar for her birthday. The pantry of treats for guests is fantastic too. The rooms are lovely. The food is great. A great atmosphere. We will be back. ”

”Nice and modern hotel close to the centre and key locations. Only negative aspect was the really loud music playing in the lobby, which makes it quite annoying entrance everytime you return to the hotel. Luckily the sound insulation is top class and you can’t hear the music - or anything else for that matter - in the rooms. ”

”Staff were impeccable. Food excellent. Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. ”
