Nice hotel close to train station and on edge of historic area. Old world elegant. Large hotel. Underground parking is handy if you’ve got a car. Breakfast was OK. Not the best I’ve had for included breakfasts in Italy but fine to start your day. Room very clean and comfortable. Large by Europe standards. Quite beautiful with high ceilings, fabric walls. Staff were very professional and courteous. Just one issue - WIFI was terrible. Hard to get connection, which dropped constantly. Many pages just can’t load due to bandwidth.

Hotel was nice but dated. Room was spacious but the AC was not working. They don’t turn on the COLD air part of the AC unless it’s middle of summer. Room was at least 80 degrees. Carpets were dirty and the bed was hard. Sheets were nice and shower was spacious. They had a decent breakfast buffet for $ 12e.

Old style era hotel which to me does not represent outdatedness. The rooms were clean and tidy and very spacious indeed. Minor drawbacks are: - lack of some toiletries like toothbrush and conditioner - Toilet was way too close to the sink and my leg just about fit in-between. Also the toilet dispenser was awkward to get too. - Drinking water was 2x 500ml of still and sparkling. Most hotels offer more. - Our room was very hot because the sun would heat up the windows. The aircon was not cooking the room even at full blast.

The hotel is lovely - very friendly and helpful staff, and very clean rooms. It is very close to the station and also within walking distance of the historic centre and all main attractions. It is more of a 'conference/business' hotel but was still very welcoming to families. Breakfast was very good!

When we checked in, we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite. The room was huge, with two TVs and a large bathroom. There was a good variety at the breakfast, which was included. The gym on site is excellent--I used a treadmill three times while I was there; the treadmill had a fan and the hotel provided water bottles in the gym for those exercising.

Excellent stay. I was supprised about the renovations at the Royal Carlton. The place is almost new. Breakfast was awesome 5*. Needless to say the location is perfect on between city center and tain station. I will definately stay here during my next visit.

The hotel was a great location . I am not really a fan of carpets on the floor in rooms. Shower screen need replacing , the water went over the floor . Bathroom big and spacious . Rooms were very hot but opening a window resolved. The staff were very friendly amò helpful and real fast was plentiful and very good. I would stay here again if I came to Bologna.
