”We stayed 4 nights and highly recommend Hotel Varusha. Everyone we met from checking in to our departure was friendly and helpful, even using a translation device to chat about the fascinating history of Veliko Tarnovo. The location is in the Old Town and in a good location for sightseeing, cafés and restaurants. Our room had a lovely view over the atmospheric orange -tiled rooftops to green hills beyond. ”I had a lovely 7 day stay... staff and hotel was perfect for me as a solo female traveller. Breakfast was nice on the rooftop. Any questions or queries the owners are just a message away to answer them and be of help. I found the room to have decent space and the beds are comfortable. ”The room and common areas were tidy. But shower had barely a drip of water coming out, also it was difficult to get warm (not hot, not cold) water and the sink was the size of my palm. Shower was right next to toilet and there was nothing to wipe the floor with. Bed was creaky, but pillows good. Air-con worked. Enough space to put luggage in the room. My reservation mentioned room with a balcony, but I was not given one. I don't mind. But if you book, make sure you get a balcony if that's what...
