”A beautiful period coaching inn with wonderful views. The staff were amazing, friendly & dedicated to ensuring our stay was pleasurable. For the elderly it is worth mentioning that there is no lift, which makes access to the upper floors somewhat challenging. We found the diner menu somewhat limited & unvarying, but this did not detract from our overall experience sufficiently to completely mar our stay. This is the only reason we cannot give te hotel an overall 5 star rating.”

”It was a great experience for my wife and I to sleep over a pub. The staff were extremely friendly. We met some wonderful people from Wells and we had a really good beer and cider. They even made us a platter of cheese and crackers. The parking was very good, access to the pub was a little difficult due to the many staircases one had to use to get to our room. ”I would have marked the stay as excellent, but the room was cold as the radiator stat had been turned down to the frost mark. I adjusted but did not come on until the next morning. I suffer from arthritis and keep warm to reduce the pain because of the cold bed and room suffered with a lot of pain. ”
