”The good: Great welcome by front desk. Good food available. Nicely decorated property. Not so good: Long queue and wait for valet parking. Hair found on makeup face towels (gross), and room not very clean. Limited options for in room coffee (not enough for two people).”

”Hotel Shattuck is perfectly located near UC Berkeley and the BART station. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My daughter and I stayed for three days and were very surprised that our room was cleaned daily. The restaurant offered different meal options and it had an awesome ambiance. We really enjoyed our stay.”

”The price and quality of the hotel was a good match for me. The staff was friendly and helpful. The was nice, comfortable, and everything worked appropriately. The neighborhood had plenty to choose from fir shopping, dining, and entertainment. In my case the walk to the train station was tricky due to the numerous overpasses that surrounds the area and Google maps telling me to down streets that we're not passable.”

”This is a fairly new, smallish hotel. The room and beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff, if I remember correctly, cleaned the room every other day, which was fine for us. The room with 2 queen beds is long and narrow, with a useful seating area at one end but not much storage, and a bit of a tight squeeze between the bed and the desk. Bathroom is nice and clean. ”Great location. Beautiful views of San Francisco city and the bay. Helpful staff and was happy they provided fresh coffee in the lobby for free. Nice safe parking lot.”

”Very clean and new hotel building. Rooms are tight but clean and have fridge and microwave oven. Since located in downtown Oakland it can get quite busy in surroundings, though 11th street is somewhat calm area. My room windows were on the street side and it was pretty noisy during nights. If you wear ear plugs it is no big deal. I stayed 10 nights and my room wasn't cleaned for once. Breakfast is okay. Nothing fancy but you get what you need to start your day. I probably wouldn't stay here...
