”Stayed in the cottages for a wedding weekend. Everything was lovely and the location is just fabulous. The food was lovely and the staff all worked really hard and were there morning until night. The cosy lounges were a bit too warm when the fires were roaring but there are other rooms to sit in. Will definitely be back 👍”

”Staff were very helpful, accessibility was very good. Cleaning the room wasn´t very good; needed to go ask towels, bath mats, suger, coffee. Also needed to give feedback to keep objects at same place, not moving them (blind). They had a wedding parties and music was very loud till early morning. This disturbed our sleep.”

”Hotel is in a great location with good underground parking. The staff on Reception, in the bar and the breakfast restaurant were very friendly & helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. ”

”The staff were courteous on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful building before showing us to our room. The house and surrounding environment were superb. The room was comfortable and clean albeit a little too warm at night. Our breakfast was tasty and varied served by a very polite young lady. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend it to others. ”

”Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!”

”Love this hotel, great location, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Takes us 5 hours plus to drive to Leeds so it’s great to know there’s a friendly welcome and a comfortable room waiting for us.”

”Staff at Oulton Hall are the stand out feature. From check in to Oliver in the restaurant to the waiting staff at breakfast, all are well above expectations. Old school service where staff wait for you to pass rather than rushing to get where THEY need to be is actually quite refreshing these days. Can some things be improved, sure but this hotel has a lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and just a lovely vibe. Check it out, for the most of us, it’s a wonderful experience. ”

”The room was not clean enough, Trash under the bed and hairs on the pillow. Breakfast poor, the first day very limited amount of products and day by day they added something more. ”

Complimentary snacks as well as the usual tea and coffee much appreciated and great to have bottles of milk rather than tiny plastic pots. Great value for money and the breakfast was delicious with a large range of options and helpful staff ”
