”The double queen room was very old and outdated. Whatever chemicals they use to clean were so strong it gave me a migraine. The mattresses were AWFUL. By the time we got back from Mount Rushmore, there was no one in the office and the mattresses were so terrible we couldn’t stay. We ended up leaving at 11pm and continued on our trip. Will not be back!”

”We stayed here for a few days this June as a dog-friendly option. Staff were helpful and the building was relatively new and very clean. The manager offered a treat to our dog and made it clear the hotel was okay with dogs. We got a walkout King room which was perfect for the dog as we could take her out without going through the hotel. Breakfast was also good with chewy bagels and many options.”

”We were not aware ther was a $200 deposit expected for each room booked. A lot of the things in the hotel had price tags, inferring that if damaged they would charge you to replace the items. We felt like we had to be extra careful not to touch anything.”

”We stayed a few nights here and really enjoyed it. It’s an upgraded old motel with some cabins and a larger lodge up the hill. Across from the abandoned false ghost town, so that was fun. Most of the cabins have a gas grill and there is one at the lodge for the other units. Fire rings and picnic tables provided some nice outdoor spaces to compliment the smaller indoor spaces. Cindy was super helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast is light (cereal, toast, fruit, coffee) but just right. Good home...

”The staff was very accommodating. What I always look for is a long counter with the sink, hair dryer, large lighted mirror in the bathroom. Iron and Ironing board. Full length mirror in the room along with lots of electrical and USB plug ins. TV with CC. Good selection at breakfast. The bed not being too high. This hotel checked off each of those.
When more than one person is staying in the room it would be nice to have a Folding Suitcase rack but I know they probably get stolen.
